Wrestling with the Web: befuddled by the thousands of wrestling sites on the Web? Here's a quick guide to some of the best virtual squared-circle destinations

Wrestling Digest, Feb, 2003 by Keith Loria

This is the No. 1 portal for women's wrestling on the Internet. Devoted to all things women, this site isn't just about the babelicious photos that devour the other Web pages; it also offers a history of women's wrestling both in WWE and around the world, with a heavy focus on Japan.

Whether it's Rhonda Singh, the Fabulous Moolah, or even Chyna, this site offers features and provides accurate profiles of some of the best women wrestlers to ever grace the wrestling ring.

Sure, there are more popular wrestlers out there, but when you combine one of the most charismatic grapplers in DDP with his wife and super babe Kimberly, this site becomes a must visit for any wrestling fan.

With interviews of all of DDP's closest wrestling buddies and plenty of news and pictures, this is a fun site that doesn't go over the top the way some other wrestlers' official sites do.

Of course, there is a bit of self promotion here with Page's book "Positively Page" and future works highlighted, but we're willing to give the inventor of the Diamond Cutter a break for that one. After all, did we mention the Kimberly photos?

Again, not much in the way of art or photos, but if you are looking for a more intellectual meeting of wrestling fans, this is the site for you. Compared to other sites, the members here seem to be Rhodes Scholars, as they argue on the message boards about everything from wrestling referees to politics.

These people take themselves very seriously, and while they might seem to be a little too full of themselves at times, it is a refreshing change from some of the other sites where you can read post after post from fans who want to discuss how wonderful the Rock is.
