Cruise Travel, July, 2001
Renaissance Cruises recently announced changes to the policies regarding smoking and the passage of children aboard its fleet. The new policies apply to new cruise bookings and for sailings departing December 1 and beyond.
In response to feedback and frequent requests from customers and travel agents, and after significant research and careful consideration, Renaissance Cruises has decided to allow young travelers, two years old and older, to join their parents, grandparents, or guardians aboard its ships. Renaissance Cruises will also make limited, designated areas of its "R-Class" and "Renaissance-Class" vessels available for cigarette smoking. However, 98 percent of the ships' passenger area will remain smoke free.
