Topic: RSS FeedLoves going Dutch - Letters
Cruise Travel, Sept-Oct, 2002 by S. Benz
Concerning the recent letters about dining at the Captain's Table: Cruise Travel readers seem to believe that only suite passengers can obtain this privilege. I and my wife took an 11-day cruise on Celebrity's Zenith a few years ago and had booked the Royal Suite. We were never asked to dine at the Captain's Table nor attend any of the special functions. On the other hand we sailed on Holland America's Zaandam in February 2002 and had a suite, and we did dine with the captain in the Marco Polo restaurant and we did attend several special functions along with having the use of a private dining room for breakfast and lunch.
I will tell you that I will sail with Holland America as often as possible because of their appreciation to their customers. (The Zaandam was our 20th cruise.)
