Cruise Travel, Sept-Oct, 2004
Silversea Cruises recently rolled out special reduced supplements that make cruising solo easier and more affordable. Recognizing that a growing number of men and women are traveling alone today, either by choice or necessity, the upscale cruise line is offering a special "Solo Traveler Savings" option on a number of suites on many 2004 and 2005 voyages. For a limited time, single supplements are available from just 110 to 125 per cent of the published per-person/double-occupancy fare.
These special rates make it easier for independent travelers to make vacation plans without having to worry about finding a travel companion to keep the costs down. Making these solo tares most attractive is Silversea's all-inclusive shipboard environment where all beverages are complimentary, including select wines, champagnes, and spirits; gratuities are included, too. Also, on many voyages Gentlemen Hosts will be onboard, which is a real plus for single female guests looking for a dining companion or a dance partner.
