Cruise Travel, Nov, 2000
Regal Cruises joins the carnival season's largest party, Mardi Gras, during a seven-night cruise to the vibrant city of New Orleans--and to Key West, the southernmost town in the continental U.S. Fares start at $779 for inside cabins and $974 for outside cabins, per person/double occupancy.
The "Mardi Gras" cruise departs February 24 from Port Manatee, FL, aboard the 900-passenger Regal Empress, spending two days in New Orleans, including Mardi Gras day (Fat Tuesday), February 27. Using the Regal Empress as a floating hotel, passengers can join in the non-stop festivities. In Key West passengers have the night to explore--taking in colorful Duval Street, watching the sunset from Mallory Square, stopping for a beer at Sloppy Joe's Bar, and walking along the newly renovated Key West Bight (harbor).
