Topic: RSS FeedColumbia Queen a winning cruise - Letters - Letter to the Editor
Cruise Travel, Dec, 2001 by Bill Johns, Gail Johns
We recently returned from our cruise out of Portland, Oregon, on Delta Queen Steamboat Co.'s Columbia Queen. This was our 19th cruise, and, in our opinion, was one of the best we've ever had.
The cabin was spacious, with plenty of closet space and a large bathroom, and was immaculate, thanks to our room steward Traci. The food and service were excellent, and the crew--especially Hoss, Reggie, Sara, and Aaron--made our cruise special from day one. And we have never been on a cruise that was so well planned and on time. We didn't miss the "dancing girls" of the large liners because the entertainment was so much fun and in keeping with the theme of the Pacific Northwest.
If you want to know about the Lewis & Clark Expedition and the Oregon Trail, and have fun learning about it, this is a trip we highly recommend. It's money well-spent!
