Princess to sail from Galveston - Cruise News

Cruise Travel, Nov-Dec, 2003

Princess Cruises will soon add to its roster of homeports when it begins offering first-time cruises from Galveston to the Western Caribbean starting in the fall of 2004. The line will base its 109,000-gross-register-ton Grand Princess in the Texas port, where she will become the largest, newest, and most amenity-filled ship to sail from Galveston.

The 2,600-passenger Grand Princess will also offer the only weeklong/four-port itinerary from Galveston during the season, sailing 22 roundtrips between November 13, 2004, and April 9, 2005. In addition to her seven-day cruises, the ship will offer a special nine-day holiday sailing that celebrates both Christmas and New Year's Day. The weekly route calls at Belize, Costa Maya, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. The special holiday sailing adds a visit in Ocho Rios.
