Cruise Travel, Nov-Dec, 2004 by Roger A. Gee
In June my wire and I took a seven-day Alaskan cruise on Holland America Line's elegant "Vista Class" ship Oosterdam. Our daughter and son, their spouses, and our 14-month-old granddaughter accompanied us. We adults particularly enjoyed the Greenhouse Spa. Our granddaughter loved the glass elevators. We noticed that there were several three-generation families onboard. We hope that they had as much fun traveling together as we did. What a great way to vacation.
On the first night aboard, our family was disbursed to three different tables in the dining room. When we brought it to the attention of Guildus, our maitre d', he had our family of seven sitting together at one of the best tables by the next evening. We shall ever be thankful for his kind service.
