Keep Bingo in the show lounge - Letters - Letter to the Editor

Cruise Travel, Jan-Feb, 2004 by Barry Wood

I enjoyed the Ship of the Month on Royal Caribbean International's Brilliance Of The Seas in the June 2003 Cruise Travel. My wife and I crossed on her first trans-Atlantic run in September 2002, Harwich to Boston.

We thought the ship lovely except for one thing. One of the most attractive, aesthetically pleasing spaces on the ship is the Colony Club, located at the stern. The room has rich wooden paneling, numerous comfortable seats, excellent ocean views, and a pleasant bar. It is a great place during the day for a quiet drink, reading a novel, or just watching the waves.

Why do they ruin it by playing Bingo in there? The first time it happened I couldn't believe it. We did eight cruises last year and seven of those ships put the Bingo in the show room. I hope this isn't the start of a trend.
