Topic: RSS FeedSuper cruiser or typo spotter? - Letters - Letter to the Editor
Cruise Travel, March-April, 2003 by Darryl Sigel
Reference: Cruise Travel, December 2002, Ship of the Month, Orient Lines' Crown Odyssey, page 33.
The article states that the ship was built in 1998. My wife, Carolyn, and I did the impossible. We sailed on the Crown Odyssey in April 1997, when she was NCL's Norwegian Crown. So we actually sailed on a ship before she was built. You must admit that takes a lot of super extra ability.
The ship was launched in June 1988. It was probably a typo, and we didn't do the impossible afterall.

Technically, Royal Cruise Line's Crown Odyssey was launched (floated out) November 1, 1987, entering service in June 1988.
