Paradise up in smoke - Cruise News

Cruise Travel, March-April, 2004

Carnival Cruise Lines recently announced that its 2,052-passenger "Fun Ship" Paradise will begin year-round three- and four-day Baja cruises from Long Beach, California, in September, becoming the newest cruise ship to operate short cruises from the West Coast. The Paradise assumes this route from the 2,052-passenger Ecstasy, which will be repositioned to Galveston to launch four- and five-day Mexico cruises in October.

The Paradise, which has operated as a smoke-free vessel since her introduction in 1998, will no longer retain that designation. According to the line, with only one "Fun Ship" on this West Coast program, it could not be limited to non-smokers.
