Oceania has a big fan

Cruise Travel, March-April, 2005 by M. Titus

I was thrilled when I saw the "Company Profile" on Oceania Cruises in the October 2004 Cruise Travel. My friend and I took two back-to-back 10-day Oceania cruises through the Greek Isles, Italy, France, and Spain last April and May, and we enjoyed every minute. These cruises had the best service I've ever had at sea. By the second half of the cruise, we felt like we owned the ship, and everyone employed on the ship was like our family.

Our butler, Violin, set up beautiful buffets in our own room because we kept meeting new people and inviting them to our suite for get-togethers before dinner. A couple of times we had dinner with Dave Kelley, the purser, and Jennifer Faust, who books future cruises onboard; they were wonderful. Dave went out of his way to make us feel special and welcome, and because of that we have booked another back-to-back for 2005--Insignia for 10 days and then jump onto the Regatta for 14 more.

The food was always delicious--I gained seven pounds !--and the hamburgers ondeck were so juicy that I ate one almost every day. I hope Oceania has a long life ahead because you can't beat the quality or the price. I'm already starting to pack for our next cruise. Good luck, Oceania--see you soon!
