Still a grand dame of the sea - Letters - Letter to the Editor

Cruise Travel, May-June, 2003 by Jack Cross, Janet Cross

What a wonderful surprise to open the Cruise Travel "2003 Annual Directory Issue" (February 2003) and find the article on "The Last Legendary Liners." We were further excited to see our first cruise ship, the Regal Empress, with a two-page layout. In 1995 our travel agent recommended the Regal Empress to give us a tree idea of what cruising was all about. We took a short five-day cruise and have been hooked ever since. She may not have all the bells and whistles that the newer ships have, but she is a grand lady of the sea and truly a great example of what cruising is all about. It was a pleasure and honor to sail on her.
