Cruise Travel, May-June, 2003 by Judith Robinson
What sad stories--the demise of so many much loved ships! (Cruise Travel, February 2003). But it was certainly interesting to read about the older ships, where they are, and what has happened to them.
Our first love was Royal Caribbean's Sun Viking--now under arrest in China. We had many years of happy cruising on her, finally leaving her in Singapore--and she never came back!
To the amusement of friends, I still carry her photograph and enjoy the delight that it gives to others we meet who also sailed on her, and the staff on the current ships who remember her with pleasure--old friends are special.
