Casual good times on the right line - Letters - Letter to the Editor

Cruise Travel, May-June, 2003 by Eileen Reidy

I am responding to the letter from Mr. & Mrs. Lison in the December 2002 Cruise Travel. I, too, am in the service industry, and I love taking care of others. I've been on eight fabulous cruises and love to be spoiled and pampered on my vacations. (I recently paid for my ninth cruise, and am always looking forward to the next trip.) I am a casual person 365 days a year. I don't own a formal or semi-formal outfit.

I hated to read in the Lisons' letter that they would feel uncomfortable and even cancel a trip because of others. There is nothing like a cruise; it's the only way I vacation. Maybe the Lisons were just on the wrong cruise line. On formal nights I always go to the Windjammer (Royal Caribbean) and have a fabulous sit-down dinner with fun and casual people. And the room is full, so you are not alone! Reconsider another line and another cruise. Don't deprive yourself of a fabulous cruise vacation because of others.
