What were they thinking?

Cruise Travel, May-June, 2005 by Curtis G. Rand

I have recently sailed on Carnival Cruise Lines' Carnival Victory and Carnival Pride. What were they thinking! Both ships have booths in the dining room. This totally takes away the open feeling of the room. It's like eating at a diner.

No fine-dining restaurant has booths. To make the situation worse, they have a partition between the back-to-back rows. You can't see the other side, even when standing. It took away the atmosphere of the 100-footwide dining room. What were they thinking!
