More dynamic NCL hull art

Cruise Travel, May-June, 2005

NCL Corporation recently unveiled four more dynamic artwork designs for the hulls on two of its new ships and two of its existing ships. The Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Sun, Norwegian Jewel, and Pride of Hawai'i will all feature NCL's signature colorful hull artwork. The inspiration for each design varies, at times reflecting the ship's name like the Norwegian Star and at other times reflecting the destination where she sails like the Norwegian Dawn.

The Norwegian Jewel's hull artwork design will feature colors reminiscent of precious stones, including emeralds, rubies, canary diamonds, and sapphires. The Norwegian Sun's artwork will boast a radiant sunburst of red, orange, and yellow with colorful streamers adorning the hull. The Norwegian Spirit's hull graphic will depict a voluptuous sea nymph happily chasing two playful dolphins through the surf. The hull on Pride of Hawai'i will feature iconic images of Hawaii with a hula dancer on one side and a conch-shell blower on the other side; each are joined by the quintessential symbol of Hawaii's gracious welcome, a flower lei, featuring hibiscus flowers in yellows, reds, and oranges.

Cruise passengers will see the Norwegian Jewel's artwork in August when she is delivered, the Norwegian Spirit's artwork in October after her drydock, the Norwegian Sun's artwork in April 2006 after her drydock, and the Pride of Hawai'i's artwork design in the summer of 2006 when she debuts.
