Topic: RSS FeedNew Mid-Engine Rv Platform - from Spartan Motors Inc - Brief Article - Product Announcement
Travel America, July, 2001 by Nancy Baren Miller
Spartan Motors has introduced a mid-engine platform that places the engine and transmission in the middle of the coach. It is three times stronger than a conventional chassis and can handle up to six slideouts, increasing average living space by as much as 40 percent. The Me2 allows for such innovative interior designs as a sunken master bedroom with Jacuzzi, a computer room, or traveling home office.
It features a rear-lift deck, increasing storage capacity up to 30 percent. This allows manufacturers to offer a built-in "garage" where consumers can carry canoes, six bicycles, ATVs, and other "toys." The platform provides improved safety, easier maintenance, and a quieter ride. For more information, see www.spartanmotors.com.
