Dog days in NYC - Resorting - Pet-friendly hotel rooms - Brief Article

Travel America, July-August, 2003

Good news for pet lovers: Now, when you vacation in New York City, you can bring the dog. Both the Upper West Side's On the Ave and Midtown's ThirtyThirty have designated sections of pet-friendly rooms. Guests pay an additional $10 per night for the room, plus they sign an agreement that any damage will be charged to their credit card. The hotel will notify guests within 24 hours of check-out if there are additional charges. A pet-free policy will remain in effect for the rest of the rooms so that guests who wish to avoid animals may do so.
