Chinook, billed as the sports car of motorhomes, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. It was in 1961 that Gary Lukehart dove headlong into the recreation vehicle manufacturing business and started Chinook RV Camper Vans. In 1971 he designed the present-day Concourse, providing the public with the first one-piece, fiberglass body motorhome that still carries the industry's only lifetime guarantee on the body.
