The Good Sam Campground Host Program acts as a clearinghouse for its members to provide host volunteers for U.S. state and national parks and forests. Duties vary by park. Most common are light maintenance, litter pickup, fee collection, providing information, and being available for late-night emergencies.
In return, volunteers get a free campsite and the satisfaction of performing a much-needed job. Members must commit to a 60-day minimum and list three states they wish to visit, along with the months they are available to serve. For information, visit www.goodsamclub.com.
