Travel America, Nov, 2000 by Nancy Baren Miller
Cabela's, the World's Foremost Out-fitter of hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear, has opened a 220,000-square-foot store in Dundee, Michigan, 30 miles south of Detroit. It's so huge and the showroom so extraordinary, the store is expected to draw six million visitors a year, making it Michigan's top tourist attraction.
The new facility will also be an education center, monument to wildlife, and a salute to sportsmen and women who support wildlife conservation efforts. Cabela's web site is www.cabelas.com. Or call (800) 237-4444.
