Topic: RSS FeedOrlando offer - Family Vacations - Holiday Inn Family Suites Lake Buena Vista - Brief Article
Travel America, Nov-Dec, 2001
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Kidsuites concept she pioneered at two Central Florida properties in 1996, Orlando hotelier Terry Whaples is offering a "Fab 5" package at Holiday Inn Family Suites Resort Lake Buena Vista, near Disney World. Any guest celebrating a "Fab 5" of their own (such as a fifth, 15th, 25th, or 95th birthday) through December will receive a $5 food credit for each night of their stay, for use at the resort's three eateries. The birthday does not have to be during the stay.
The two-bedroom Kidsuites offer a private king or queen-sized bedroom for adults, a fun-themed semi-private kids' bedroom with bunk beds or twin beds, and a separate parlor area. Theme decor ranges from Disney to Coca-Cola. Public facilities include two swimming pools, a fitness center, and nine-hole miniature golf course.
"Five years ago we predicted that Kidsuites would become an industry standard," she said. "The fact that these accommodations have spread beyond Holiday Inn to other brands (like Hyatt and Loews) shows that family travelers are increasingly demanding rooms that fit their special needs."
