Sore subject - RV update: places, products, clubs, & activities you can enjoy in your RV - preventing back pain - Brief Article

Travel America, Nov-Dec, 2002 by Nancy Baren Miller

A recent national survey indicates back pain may be rising among RVers, with 54 percent reporting some form of lower back pain after being on the road. Culprits include sitting for long periods of time, accidents resulting from icy surfaces, and bending down to reel in unwieldy power cords and hoses.

TDI Products offers a free guide called "Back-Safe RVing: The Smart Approach." The guide includes ways to maintain proper posture on the road, guidelines for safe lifting, and an overview of when to seek medical help. To get a free download of the guide, visit www.tdiproducts.com or call (904) 242-0742.
