Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise is touted as the world's largest one-day celebration of car culture. On the third Saturday in August (Aug. 20, 2005), the event will attract more than 1.5 million people and 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector, and special-interest vehicles. The cars cruise 16 miles along Woodward Avenue through nine cities in homage to America's love affair with automobiles.
