Kuala Lumpur: TRI asks its founder and former chairman Tajudin Ramli, and former directors Lim Kheng Yew and Bistamam Ramli, to give back a total of $6.4 million paid to them in compensation for losing their positions on TRI's board. Their replacements say they need the money back because the payouts will hurt TRI'S year-end results.
Separately, TRI chairman Mohd Munir Abdul Majid says negotiations to merge TRI with Telekom Malaysia should be completed by this month or November and the deal finalized in January.
