Guangdong: Guangdong Telecom stops promoting its controversial call-forwarding devices, which are designed to help mobile users forward calls to their fixed phones without having to pay the usual forwarding fee. China Mobile--who complained to the MII--tells reporters that Guangdong Telecom has dropped the service altogether.
Guangdong Telecom says the company is still offering the service but has ceased promotion of it pending a response from the MII.
