ABCA/Rawlings Player of the Year

The ABCA and Rawlings Sporting Goods co-sponsor the All-Region and All-American teams, as well as the Player of the Year Award, a Rawlings "Gold Bat," to the outstanding player from each division, and to their school for permanent display.

The ABCA All-America teams are amateur baseball's oldest selections, dating to 1949. All division coaches have an opportunity to nominate and vote on these selections. ABCA's All America Committee from each division then chooses the Player of the Year. Each of these honorees receives the ABCA/Rawlings Award for his respective division.
