I have a question about an article - Sharing: letters from our readers - Letter to the Editor

Better Nutrition, Dec, 2003 by John Isgett

I have a question about an article in your-August 2003 issue. In "Nature Heals," on p. 29, in the last paragraph under "Sprains and Torn Ligaments," it says to boil dried rosemary leaves. My question is: How much rosemary and how much water should I use? Thanks

The amount of water and rosemary you can use is variable. If you use a small amount of water, you get a small amount of highly saturated water after boiling. If you use a large amount of water, you get a large amount of weakly saturated water. The bottom line is, you want as much rosemary "juice" as possible to soak around your joints--and remember that more won't hurt. The more leaves you boil, the more concentration in your bath water and the more noticeable the effect.
