MYTH: Brown sugar is better for you than white sugar.

TRUTH: There is no difference between the two types of sugars in terms of nutrition. Brown sugar simply contains molasses. Both offer only calories and energy--no protein or nutrients--and therefore, should be eaten in restricted quantities.
