One independent scientist, Dr. Takuo Fujita, past President of the Osteoporosis Foundation of Japan, has spent a considerable part of his career searching for a form of calcium that could be more readily absorbed and used by the body.

The first breakthrough came in the discovery of a compound called AACa. Early studies showed that AACa was absorbed more than twice as well as calcium carbonate or coral calcium.
