Iron for better bones - Goodnews: essential natural health news - Brief Article

Better Nutrition, March, 2004

Dietary iron intake is now associated with greater bone mineral density in postmenopausal women, according to researchers at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The researchers suggested additional studies are needed to clarify the synergistic effect calcium and iron together have on bone health.
