Yes, but can they be chocolate-covered? - catechins in human nutrition and prevention of tumors - Brief Article

Better Nutrition, June, 2001

A recent study shows that there is a correlation between catechins (antioxidants found in raisins, and other vegetables and fruits) and the prevention of tumors. Cancer researcher Dr. Andrew Dannenberg and colleagues at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University studied the effects of diets containing catechins on mice genetically predisposed to intestinal tumors.

The results were published in the Jan. 2001 issue of Cancer Research. This study, in addition to data collected on nearly 2,000 cancer patients, further documented what other studies have shown: that a diet high in fruits and vegetables contributes to a lower risk of cancer.
