Writing in the March 13, 2004 issue of the British Medical Journal, UK researchers said patients who were given acupuncture had fewer days of headaches than those who were not. Patients became less reliant on painkillers. A month earlier, an Australian study found acupuncture effective in reducing morning sickness in pregnant women.
