strengthen the back of your arms

Grasp a dumbbell in each hand, and raise your arms straight above your head, keeping elbows slightly bent. Inhale and lower the dumbbell behind your head as shown, trying to keep your elbows close to your head. Hold for one second and exhale as you raise your arms.

strengthen the front of your thighs

Stand with your feet slightly wider than your shoulders and your arms at your side. Exhale as you squat and extend arms in front of you. Keep your back straight, abs tight and don't let the knees go forward past your toes. Hold for one second, then inhale as you stand back up.

strengthen the back of your thighs

Rest your chin on your arms and exhale while curling your legs up. Hold for one second and inhale as you lower your feet back to the ground. (Use ankle weights for more resistance.)

strengthen your calves

Hold a dumbbell in each hand and exhale as you rise onto your toes. Keep your chest lifted, shoulders back and abs tight. Hold for one second and inhale as you lower back down.

strengthen your backside

With palms flat on a mat, exhale as you lift your pelvis 3-6 inches off the floor. Squeeze your buttock muscles for one second, and then inhale as you lower back down.

strengthen your inner thighs

Bend your right knee and place your right foot behind your left leg. Keeping your left leg straight, exhale and slowly lift left foot as high as you can, as shown. Hold for one second; inhale as you lower. Repeat on opposite side for one rep. (Use ankle weights for more resistance.)

strengthen your outer thighs

Keeping your back straight and your head up, exhale as you raise your leg out to the side, keeping leg bent, as shown. Hold for one second and inhale as you lower your leg. Switch sides to complete one rep.
