> 10. Desserts are always challenging, especially if you've been particularly fastidious during your main meal. Don't blow it this close to the finish line. Pass on the pumpkin pie with whipped cream and opt for fresh fruit if it's available. Otherwise, if you're still really hungry (which you probably really aren't -- most desserts are eaten out of curiosity, not hunger), choose just a sliver of fruit pie or tart, or a small serving of low-fat ice cream or sorbet.
