DSN Retailing Today, June 27, 2005 by Doug Desjardins
A federal bankruptcy court judge approved a July 11 auction of KB Toys stores and assets despite the objection of some landlords who were against the timing of the event. The auction will give 3arties a chance to outbid an offer made by Prentice Capital Management that will help the 680-store chain emerge from bankruptcy later this year. KB filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2004.
