DEERFIELD, ILL. -- Walgreens Co. chairman Dan Jordnt said the drug store chain is ahead of plan on its goal to operate 6,000 stores by 2010. Through the first three quarters of Walgreen's fiscal year, the company has opened 319 stores and is on track to open 475 stores. At the end of Walgreens' third quarter on May 31, the company had 3,766 stores.
