> TROY, MICH. -- Kmart announced that Bill Underwood, evp, sourcing and global operations, has resigned from the company. Underwood came out of retirement in June 2002, at the request of then-chairman and ceo James Adamson, to assist the retailer in its Chapter 11 reorganization efforts. He first retired from Kmart in 1999 as a senior vp for global operations, corporate brands and quality assurance.
