DSN Retailing Today, July 5, 2004

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A study conducted by Capgemini for the National Retail Federation found that 77% of retail customers are unaware of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The customers who are aware of RFID appear to have mixed perceptions, 42% view RFID favorably, while 31% have no opinion of the technology.

RFID technology provides consumers with benefits like savings from reduced operating costs.
