Procter & Gamble has granted a license to Goody Products Inc. to manufacture and sell a new line of hair accessories under the Cover Girl brand name in North America. The new line represents the first-ever license of the United States' leading mass cosmetics brand and the world's leading manufacturer of grooming and fashion hair accessories.

It features more than 50 trendy hair styling and fashion accessory items, including barrettes, contour clips and claw clips, bobby slides, scrunchies, headbands, "ouchless" elastics, ponytailers and compact mirrors. The new Cover Girl line, retailing between $2.99 and $3.99, will be available nationwide by January 2002. It will be supported in-store, in-print and on the Web.
