Staples hires new broadcast ad agency - Market Watch - Martin/Williams Advertising - Brief Article

BOSTON -- Office supply retailer Staples has hired Omnicom Group's Martin/Williams Advertising agency to head up its broadcast advertising. The agency will be in charge of developing and producing Staples' broadcast ads, while the chain's print advertising, direct and interactive marketing will remain under the hands of Staples' internal agency.

To win the bid, Martin/Williams, among other agencies such as Carmichael Lynch, The Martin Agency and Wieden + Kennedy, went through a three-month review process by Select Resources in which the agencies had to demonstrate their abilities and knowledge of retail, catalog and office product experience.
