Eighteen months after being acquired by United Parcel Service, Mail Boxes Etc. recently opened its 1,000th international unit and now has more than 3,500 domestic locations. UPS acquired MailBoxes Etc. in April 2001 from U.S. Office Products when it paid $185 million. The now defunct U.S. Office Products acquired Mail Boxes Etc.
