Fleming settles supply lawsuits - Will settle retail supply agreements' lawsuits - Brief Article

DSN Retailing Today, Sept 3, 2001

LEWISVILLE, TEXAS -- Fleming said it expects to settle several lawsuits relating to retail supply agreements in Kansas City and Salt Lake City that will allow it to gain full ownership of several Arizona-based Food4Less supermarkets. The settlements cover lawsuits with issues, none of which involve current Fleming operations, and should clear the way for more aggressive Food4Less expansion in the Southwest, according to the company.

Fleming also has affirmed its previously announced guidance for 2001 adjusted earnings of $1.96 per share, as well as its 2002 and 2003 guidance of $2.50 per share and $3.30 per share, respectively.
