Sears comp-store sales improve - Financials - Brief Article - Illustration

DSN Retailing Today, Sept 8, 2003

Citing strong" sales growth in the home appliance category, Sears says August comp-store sales are tracking better than expected for the four weeks ending Aug. 30. The company, however, did not provide specific figures. When announcing its July sales results, Sears stated that it expected same-store sales for the four weeks ending Aug. 30 to be flat.
