ROANOKE, VA. -- Advance Auto Parts announced that Lawrence P. Castellani, its chairman and ceo, will retire effective May 19, 2005. Mr. Castellani will remain as chairman of the board. Michael N. Coppola, the company's evp and coo, has been designated to become its ceo at that time and has been appointed to the company's board of directors.
