Office Depot offering free Web seminars geared toward small businesses - Market Watch - Brief Article

DELRAY BEACH, FLA. -- Office Depot has begun an innovative new program of online business seminars for small businesses. Dubbed the "Web Cafe," the free 60-minute seminars are broadcast via the company's Web site. On Oct. 22, the company hosted the first of six hour-long seminars that featured Marilyn Carlson, chair of the National Women's Business Council and ceo of the Carison Companies.

Along with a speaker presentation, the seminars also allow online users to participate in a live, text-based question and answer session. All seminars are broadcast on Tuesdays. Speakers slated for the coming weeks include Lurita Doan, president and ceo of New Technology Management; Jean Chatzky, editor at large of Money magazine; Nancy Michaels, president of Impression Impact; and Stephanie Denton, president of the National Association of Professional Organizers.
