SEATTLE - Amazon is offering customers the ability to buy now and pay later this holiday season. Amazon teamed up with Citi Commerce Solutions, a division of Citibank Cards, to provide the Amazon Credit Account as an alternative to general-purpose credit cards for purchasing online. Users can apply for credit online and, if approved, begin buying immediately.

To kick off the service Amazon is offering customers who sign up for the account interestfree holiday shipping for orders over $200 with no payments due for three months. Users can not, however, use the card for the Amazon Marketplace, Auctions or zShops or Circuit City store.
