SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. -- Closeout retailer Odd Job Stores named board member Steve Furner interim ceo following the departure of Peter Hayes, who joined the company as ceo just 18 months earlier. Furner, a former Wal-Mart executive who retired in 1998 after a 19-year career, joined the Odd Job board in June of this year.
