DSN honors Best Buy with Specialty Retailer award - Brief Article

LAS VEGAS -- Best Buy earned top honors at the CES show in Las Vegas earlier this month for its excellence as a specialty retailer and its commitment to the mass retailing industry.

The editors of DSN Retailing Today presented Best Buy with an award for Specialty Retailer of the Decade, in conjunction with the release of a special commemorative issue, outlining the history, current businesses and future projections for the consumer electronics chain.

DSN Retailing Today editor and associate publisher Tony Lisanti highlighted the accomplishments of the retailer at a private ceremony Jan. 7 at the Paris Hotel. Vendors, analysts, Best Buy executives, and the staff of DSN Retailing Today were all in attendance to toast the retailer's phenomenalgrowth and success over the past 10 years.

"I'm honored to have been with Best Buy for 27 years, and to be part of such an exciting industry," said Best Buy president and coo Brad Anderson.

"DSN Retailing Today's Specialty Retailer of the Decade award is a significant achievement and reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone at Best Buy."
